Rules of conduct
Listen up! From now on all posted saasta content must obey the following rules:
- Inline (attach) images, don’t link! Reason: no stale links, easier viewing. If you want to acknowledge the author or the source, feel free to link back to the original by encapturing your img inside an anchor that links back to the original.
- If you include links to other sites, make it a proper HTML link, e.g. thehun.net
- When posting from saasta.fi blog:
- Please resize your images to max 540 pixels wide. This makes the layout look better and it will save bandwidth as the large resolution image doesn’t need to be sent to your browser. NOTE: The site does this for you automatically, if you upload the original and link to the “thumbnail” version of your image from your post.
- Make sure you set the category to “saasta”
- If you’re (at least partly) responsible for the saasta, mark it as “homebrew”
- Kindly ask soap dropper’s permission before posting videos of soap dropping escapades in Beatroot restrooms
- Embed videos from YouTube et al. - copy the entire embed link from the site (e.g. in YouTube there’s a small textfield on the right side of the video). You can use our special youtube helper syntax, too.
- Make sure your e-mail address is current in your Profile settings. This ensures that you get automatic notifications from saasta.fi when your post receives comments, your post is faved, etc. It also enables you to use the “Forgot your password?” feature if you happen to lose your password.
